In the fall, colorgaurd is part of the Steele Regiment where they perform through dance, flags, and weapons to accentuate the music on the field.  They are part of the Steele Regiment Marching Band and therefore responsible to attend the same activities as the musicians.

During the spring, colorgaurd is known as Winterguard and competes in indoor competitions held in Southern California.  They also participate in the department’s end of the year concert working the sound and light booth.
