Boosters Call for Help - Taste of the Town
Perhaps you have heard about the upcoming Inaugural debut of Steele Canyon High School’s Taste of the Town? If not, here is some information to bring you up to speed, or you can check SCHS website for details and forms.
On Friday, April 20, 2012 at 6:30pm – 10:30pm, SCHS will host our first Taste of the Town at Sycuan Golf & Tennis Resort.
To make this event as successful as possible, we need your help.

On Friday, April 20, 2012 at 6:30pm – 10:30pm, SCHS will host our first Taste of the Town at Sycuan Golf & Tennis Resort.
- In reference to “Taste”…the event will include cuisine from approximately 60 food vendors. Each vendor will have enough food to offer “tastes” to 75-100 guests. So…there is a very good chance you will get lots of “Tastes” in attending our event.
- In reference to “Town”…the event is a community event. Participation from food vendors, venue location, donors and contributors will all be from the immediate area of Steele Canyon High School.
- There will be music & entertainment and we will have a plentiful Silent Auction to include merchandise, vacation getaways and complimentary services.
- Proceeds for this event will be equally divided to benefit the following SCHS groups – PTO, AVID, Band, Athletic Boosters and the Class of 2013.
To make this event as successful as possible, we need your help.
- Plan to attend – mark your calendars! Tickets for Taste of the Town will be sold for $35 each or $60 for two. Order form attached.
- Do you know any restaurant owners that we should contact to be included in the “Taste” portion of our event? If so, please reply and let us know who we should call.
- Are you or do you know any business owners that would like to place an advertisement in our program? If so, please reply with contact details of business owners.
- We are also looking for Parent $ donors for our event, so if you would like to donate to our cause, please let us know and we will provide you the Parent Donor form.
- Last…but very important…the SCHS Athletic Boosters are looking for donations for two main categories in our Silent Auction portion of the event – Beauty & Fitness, Wine & Wine Accessories.
- Professional Services – complimentary services for Hair, Makeup, Massages, Nail, Beauty Supplies, Gym's gift certificates- for services
- Wine items to fill a gift baskets

Pie Certificates from Marie Callendar
You can purchase a pie certificate for $12 for one certificate or $10 each for more than one purchase from Steele Canyon Band Parents Booster Club. The certificate is redeemable at the Marie Callendar's in La Mesa (6950 Alvarado Rd, San Diego, CA / Phone (619) 465-1910), and you can purchase one pie up to the value of $12.99 with this certificate. Please check with Ms. Luck or Tina for the form.

Band students will start collecting recyclable items from the field and parking lots after events to raise money for the band program and practice the school value: "Take care of yourself. Take care of each other. Take care of this place."
